Brenda L Girley

Mrs. Brenda Lee Girley was born October 16, 1959, to the late W.N. Rogers & Mable E Hatch in Ripley Mississippi. She was 10 of 12 children. Brenda confessed Christ at an early age, she was a member of Touch From God Ministries until her passing. 

She was united in Holy matrimony to Mr. Larry T. Girley on June 10, 1978, at St. Paul M.B. Church. They remained by each other’s side until death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her darling husband, whom she deeply loved, Larry Girley. To this union they were blessed with a son Juhwaski (Samantha) of Omaha, NE. A daughter, Marcie of Ripley, MS. A host of sisters and brothers: Eugene Rogers of Blue Mountain, MS, Callie Mae Gaillard of Ripley, MS, Odessa (Robert) Spight of Ripley, MS, Ida Faye Simmons of Racine, WI, JoAnn Hill of Ripley, MS, Nancy Turner of Ripley, MS, Linda (Eugene) Girley of Ripley, MS, Walter Rogers of Ripley, MS, and Deborah (Dennis) Cox of Ripley MS, her mother in law Mae Rean Girley of Ripley, MS, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 bonus grandchildren. 

She loved the Lord and was a praying woman. She was a firm believer in forgiveness and never met a stranger. She was just an all-around loving woman that loved the Lord, family and children.

She is Preceded in death by her mother and father, and two brothers: Billy Ray Rogers and Kerry Rogers, and one unborn child lost in utero, she believed was a boy. She leaves her memories to a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends. 

Visitation will be Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS from 12p-6p with the family present from 4p-6p. Funeral service will be Monday, February 19, 2024, 2p at St. James COGIC, Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow at St. John Church Cemetery,  Ripley, MS.
