Genett J Brown

Genett Brown was born on December 15, 1956 to the late Joe Morris and Nylene Johnson. Genett was a Christian in faith. 

She married Robert Brown on July 4th, 1991 and to this union one child was born.

Genett was employed by Middleton High School as a custodian. She cared for all the students she came in contact with.

She leaves to cherish her life; her son, Bryant (Jennifer) Johnson of Saulsbury, TN and her daughter, Kayla Johnson(Tyron) of Middleton, TN, her grandchildren Jordan Peterson, Adreonna Kelly, and Ja'Mon Johnson, her siblings; Colene Prather of Falkner, MS, Clifford Johnson of Ripley, MS, Carl Johnson and Polly(Mack) Peterson of Tiplersville, MS, 1 great grandchild, many sister and brother in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Brown, her son, Kerry Johnson, her great nephew Ethan Prather, her sister Hattie Tucker, her sister Helen Ratliff, and a brother Frankie Johnson. 

Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2024 at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS from 12p-7p. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, 11a at Foster and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow at Ruckersville Cemetery, Falkner, MS.
