James McKenzie Obituary

James P. McKenzie, was born to Billie Cox and Mr. Jimmy Dale McGee on May 24, 1961 in Tippah County, Mississippi. 

James attended Falkner School and worked at Biltrite for over 30 years. He loved being around family and friends, listening to music and fixing on cars. He was well known and loved by many.  

James McKenzie departed this earthly life on March 14th, 2024 at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his grandmother Corina Warren, his Grandfather Wydale Nance his son,Christopher Wooten and 2 sisters Teresa McKenzie and Brenda Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories: One daughter LeSha Bell of Brooklynn Center, Minnesota 3 sons Charlie (Meoceasha)Morgan, Edmon Morgan and James Jr (Lakeisha) McKenzie all of Ashland, MS.  10 Grandchildren.  3 sisters Charlotte McKenzie, Lee Ann McKenzie, and Annette McGee. 1 brother Melvin Spight, 7 nieces, 5 nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2024 at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS from 12p-7p; with the family present from 5p-7p. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 23, 2024, 2p at Foster and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Saints Rest Cemetery, Ripley, MS.
