Tommy J Johnson

Tommy Joe Johnson was born February 24,1963. On Friday morning, February 23, 2024 God called home one of his mighty soldiers. He departed at Tupelo Hospital (NMMC) in Tupelo, Ms.
 

He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Christ Is Life Ministry. He was the son of the late D.L. and Jimmie Dale Johnson. 

He leaves to mourn 5 sisters: Mrs. Meshell (Rickey) Flemons of Thaxton, Ms; Mrs. Lisa (Bruce) WIlliams of Ashland, Ms; Mrs. Sharon (Ira) Walls of Holly Springs, Ms; Mrs. Viola (Roy Dale) Storey of Ripley, Ms; Ms. Glenda Bell of New Jersey, WI; and 1 brother Mr. Timothy (Jackie) Johnson of Ripley, Ms; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by: sisters, Ms. Shena Johnson and Ms. Jaqueline Mcdonald; and one brother Mr. Michael Lee Johnson. 

Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2024 at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS from 12p-7p; with the family present from 5p-7p. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 2, 2024, 2p at Moses Chapel UMC, Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow at Boyd Cemetery, Ripley, MS.
